Displaced Texas Quilting Gal

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while.  We moved from Texas to Kentucky early last week and we've been busy, busy, busy unpacking, reorganizing and updating the house.  I won't bore you with details since this is mostly a quilting blog, but we've got a TON of work to do in this 53 year old house.

The first day with a lot of boxes and random furniture just shoved into the great room!

The saddest part of it all is my quilting stuff STILL looks like this!  :(

I've tried my hardest NOT to unpack and set up what will become my new sewing room so I can organize the rest of the house first.  I know as soon as my "Quilt Cave" is set up, the hubby will lose my help throughout the rest of the renovation!  Although, I don't think I can stand it much longer, mostly because of April "deadlines."  I have a precious baby quilt to finish for my best friend and 3 bee blocks to make, so I give it another week!

PS.  I'll still keep my blog name, of course!  I'm a Texas girl at heart, just a little lost in Kentucky!

  2. I left KY in 1967, to go to Texas-LOL. Now at 64 yrs old I will stay here. I was in the Richmond and Lexington areas. You will hopefully pull for the Wildcats and enjoy the weather, it gets real cold there too. Whereever you are are you going to go to Paducah? or did you? I just joined your blog-thanks
