ALYoF- February Goal

You remember these not so little things?  Polaroid camera = actual, INSTANT, hands on photos = THE best invention

Remember shaking these cute things while they developed right before your eyes?  AND space for captions!

We had so much fun as kids with these fun, instant cameras!

With that as inspiration, I participated in a Polaroid block swap.  I combined half of the blocks I received into this adorable quilt top.

I've been searching for the perfect backing and I finally found it.  So, this is my February goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes goal setting party.  I will get the backing, baste, free motion quilt and bind this quilt by the end of the month.  Any ideas on the quilting?  Should I do an all over pattern?  Just quilt the grey background?  I'm not an expert a FMQ, but I'm willing to try new things, so I'd love your insight!

LEAVE ME A COMMENT WITH A QUILTING IDEA FOR THIS POLAROID INSPIRED QUILT!!

  1. I love these Polaroid blocks and asked my Bees to make some for me. I haven't put mine together yet though. Love how you've done yours! I was just thinking of outlining the Polaroids with straight lines...

  2. I love it! I would probably do some simple stitching in the ditch around each block to really let the blocks shine.

  5. I think the quilting on this needs to let those little pictures pop. Though it would pain me to break thread, I think I would outline the little blocks. This is a great little quilt. Thanks for sharing.
